Airwallex was a relatively unknown Australian "FinTech-unicorn” that too few knew about. So, how do you take one of the world’s fastest, most tech-focused and exciting formula-one teams to elevate Airwallex onto the global stage? 
 

Well, not like you would think…

In a fast-paced world of high-tech brands, the real race was fighting category conventions! Sure, Airwallex works at the speed of light, it can help you navigate challenges, and its technology can help you get ahead of the competition. Yet, what really set Airwallex apart, was the very origins of its beginning.

Founded by remarkable minds, who fascinated over looking for alternative solutions to financial infrastructure problems, it’s the very DNA of Airwallex that is so unique, to look beyond obstacles to the opportunities beyond. This was the story we needed to bring to life, of what happens when we ‘shift our perspectives’.

“Shifted Perspectives” is an experience campaign. It’s centrepiece sculpture truly captivates the imagination, while the shoulder content elevates the influence of shifting perspectives for key personnel within the McLaren team.

Launched to thousands, broadcast to millions, “Shifted Perspectives” acts as a beautiful reminder of what we can all achieve –when, we look at things differently. And proof that not all FinTech brands need ‘FinTech’ campaigns to stand out!

The Perceptual Art Installation

Working with globally renowned perceptual artist, Michael Murphy, we captured the magic of shifting perspectives, through a world-first, 3D perception shift artwork. By bringing together the perspectives of race-winning McLaren driver Lando Norris, with the unique approach, capabilities and solutions, devised by Airwallex.

The Manifesto Film 

Directed by Glendyn Ivin

 

This manifesto film, created for Airwallex and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Glendyn Ivin, brings the brand’s ethos of “Shifting Perspectives” to life. The film follows the creation of a striking art installation featuring Formula 1 driver Lando Norris and the Airwallex logo, capturing the innovation and bold vision behind the project. Through cinematic storytelling and a dynamic visual narrative, the piece explores how art, technology, and ambition intersect to reframe the way we see the world.

Airwallex – Digital Billboard Series: “Shifting Perspectives”

This dynamic series of digital outdoor billboards for Airwallex features multiple perspectives of F1 driver Lando Norris, brought to life through abstract 3D typography. The rotating type transforms with the viewer’s angle, gradually revealing key messaging that encourages audiences to view “Obstacles as Opportunities.” Designed to amplify Airwallex’s core message of “Shifting Perspectives,” the campaign merges motion, 3D design, and storytelling in high-impact public spaces.
